2016 Kali's Cure Golf Outing

Summer is just around the corner and the Kali’s Cure golf outing on August 6th will be here before we know it! Again this year we are looking forward to seeing you. People have been emailing their desire to play and reserving teams, but there are still plenty of spots available. If you haven’t signed up, please register your foursome to play…there’s no time like the present!

We would like to thank those of you who have already so generously signed up to sponsor the event and/or donate to the auction! Thanks to your continued support and benevolence Kali’s Cure has been busy since last year’s event. We saw our donations to the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan Fund be put to great use with the purchase of 2 X-AR arm machines to research regeneration, the training for and purchase of restorative neurological devices to assist in motor control through electrical stimulation, and two track chairs to assist paralyzed veterans in West Michigan through sports rehabilitation.

Kali’s Cure also recently returned from Washington, DC where we partnered with several other all-volunteer, non-profit organizations to bring together a group of over 200 wounded veterans and caregivers to promote suicide awareness, independence, and rehabilitation. Kali’s Cure donated two paramobiles (adaptive golf carts) to Ft. Belvoir where paralyzed and amputee veterans recovering at the Warrior Transition Unit will now be able to add golf to the list of sports-based intense physical rehabilitation. We are now hoping to raise money for a third paramobile to be used for our wounded veterans in Southern Michigan, but make its way to the annual Kali’s Cure golf outing and auction! None of this would be possible without your support!
