2019 Year in Review
Once again, as we enjoy the Holidays and reflect on the year behind us, we are reminded of the countless advancements we’ve made thanks to our tireless supporters. Your hard work and dedication have allowed us to have a profound impact on accessibility in the State of Michigan. With the roll out of our track chair donation, visitors of select State Parks now have access to areas that have long been inaccessible to those confined to a wheelchair or unable to walk long distances. These all-terrain chairs have opened the door to hunting, fishing, riding the trails and even escaping to the beach! Following our lead, other organizations are helping to expand the program to include even more parks.
The annual golf outing remains our most successful fundraiser and, of course, our most anticipated event of the year! As you plan your 2020 calendar, please be sure to keep the weekend of Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st, 2020 available! Although last year was a busy weekend for many of our regular attendees, who were disappointed to have prior commitments, we were fortunate to have another successful event! With our donation of $150,000 to Dr. Onders’ Diaphragm Pacing Program (DPP) at this year’s outing, we exceeded the $1 Million threshold for total donations to DPP!
Your hard work and dedication led to an amazing 2019! We can’t thank you enough for your support. We are truly overwhelmed that, along with holiday and other donations, we are still receiving contributions specifically supporting the golf outing! It is our sincere hope that you and your loved ones had a wonderful Christmas Season and we wish you all the best in the new year! The excitement of the advancements being made make us strive to have an even greater impact next year!
